Franchise Disclosure Documents
Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD) provide hundreds of pages of information on franchise systems.
This federally mandated document helps the reader identify systemic strengths and weaknesses while also outlining the legal relationship between the Franchisee and the Franchisor. Required by law, the Franchise Disclosure Document, or FDD (formerly known as the UFOC, or Uniform Franchise Offering Circular), informs prospective franchisees of their rights and obligations before they sign a franchise agreement.
About Us
What is The FDD Exchange?
The FDD Exchange is an educational resource of The Educated Franchisee, a bestselling ‘how to’ guide for choosing a winning franchise authored by Rick Bisio. Rick’s extensive experience in the good, and bad, of franchising led him to write this book. Reader requests for more information eventually led to The Educated Franchisee Resource Center and online community.
The FDD Exchange is a community based openness project. Our goal is to improve transparency in franchising through the sharing Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD) among like-minded individuals. With the help of our community, we have assembled thousands of Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD) and are continuously expanding our online library.
We invite you to explore our Franchise Disclosure Documents and welcome you to contact us with any questions.
