Investment
The estimated total investment necessary to begin operation of one Valvoline Instant Oil Change service center ranges from $178,025 to $1,273,500 per service center. This includes a license fee (for an individual service center) of $30,000 for your first facility that must be paid to the franchisor.
If you are offered the opportunity to develop multiple service centers under a development agreement, you will pay the franchisor a development fee of $1,250 to $5,000 for each existing oil change facility that is to be converted into a service center and $1,250 to $15,000 for each newly constructed service center to be developed by you. The estimated total investment ranges from $179,275 to $1,288,500 for the area development rights and the first service center licensed in connection with the development agreement. This range includes the applicable development fee of $1,250 to $15,000 (for an individual center) and a license fee (for an individual center) of $30,000 for your first facility that must be paid to the franchisor.
